Guided Flying Adventures
Want to go further afield but need some guidance. We can help. V1 Flight performs regular tour and trains where instructors can take you on a trip of a lifetime. Book a time window and plan as you go, touring from country to country.
What is Tour & Train?
Tour & Train is V1 Flight's guided adventure programme for licensed pilots who want more than circuits and local area solos. An experienced V1 instructor sits with you throughout — handling ATC liaison, customs procedures, and emergency contingencies — while you fly the aircraft and build the hours.
Routes are planned progressively, day by day, adapting to weather windows and your preferences. No two trips are the same.

This 7-day European tour covered 1,323 miles across the UK, France, and Italy — showcasing the kind of adventure a Tour & Train slot can deliver.
The plane is thoroughly prepped, emergency gear is confirmed onboard and fully functional. Flight plan, weather, and NOTAMs are reviewed.
Two hours across the UK, to Lydd and then across the water to Calais in order to clear European customs.
Refuel stop with a bit of planning as to where our final stop of the evening would be based on the weather, and how long we wanted to fly for.
Flying into the beautiful French town of Annecy with Lake Annecy right on the approach. Some amazing scenery with a really laid back vibe in the town. Overnight stay at an Airbnb right in the centre.
Refuel stop at another amazing airfield with a very friendly flying school who were happy to help out. The joys of flying a plane where you can get fuel from the station over the road!
Overnight stay in Venice, staying right in the heart of the action. Landed at an airfield just outside of the city and then caught the water taxis into Venice itself.
Refuel stop at Bolzano airfield in amongst the commercial airliners. Located within the mountains, the approach and departure made for some great photos.
Camping overnight at another amazing airfield complete with flying club and skydiving centre. A friendly local drove us to get some food amongst lots of amazed questions from the whole airfield about the plane and the trip.
Flight over to Paris, landing just outside of the city with the Eiffel Tower clearly visible on the downwind leg. A great night out in Paris, doing something other than flying and making the most of being away.
You can't fly past Disneyland Paris without at least taking a look. What a sight from the air! No stop this time unfortunately, but maybe next time.
Stop off at Le Touquet to get our passport stamped and clear customs. Made very welcome, and even met the resident hawk and its handler, being used to keep the birds at bay.
Back over the water to the more familiar scenery of the UK. Once over the water, the distance back to our home airfield felt short after covering so many miles in the last few days.
